Make Foot Lotion

Homemade foot lotion nourishes and softens your skin.

Making your own soaps, lotions and body products gives you the ability to choose the ingredients you use on your skin. Homemade foot lotion can be created with an easy-to-follow recipe and basic ingredients. This allows you the opportunity to add different extracts, oils and powders to enhance the quality of this luxurious foot cream.

Instructions

1. Add the distilled water, borax and carrier oil to one of the bowls. Carrier oils include coconut oil, soy oil and grapeseed oil, among others. Rosehip oil, a high-quality but expensive option, provides your skin with vitamin A, C and other nourishing benefits.

2. Microwave the bowl on high for three minutes.

3. Add the beeswax pastilles to the other glass bowl. Microwave it on high for three minutes or until the wax melts into a clear liquid.

4. Mix the water and oil solution with the electric mixer.

5. Drizzle the melted beeswax into the bowl of oil and water while mixing it. Beat the mixture on high for about five minutes as it thickens into a white and creamy mixture. The consistency should be like pancake batter.

6. Pour the warm creamy mixture into a lotion bottle. Allow it to cool to room temperature, uncovered. The lotion will thicken to a luxurious and thick foot cream. This dense foot lotion helps soften your soles and keep your feet moisturized.
