Heal With Crystal
Healing with crystal is a New Age practice associated with balancing the chakras. Crystal healing is based on theories about energy, which emits from different colors of crystals. Anyone can perform crystal healing without formal education. To heal with crystal, you must develop your intuition and compassion. Crystal healing can be performed on yourself or on another person. The practice is used for physical and emotional issues, such as easing pain or attracting love.
Instructions
1. Identify the nature of your complaint and related chakras. Is your issue emotional, physical or mental? All complaints have a spiritual basis. If you are ill, do not substitute crystal healing for traditional medical attention. (See Reference 3 for an explanation of chakras.)
2. Select the appropriate crystal for your healing need. For example, use citrine to aid your bloodstream or to promote healthy circulation. Tiger's eye or jade helps to instill confidence. (See Reference 2 for a list of crystals and healing properties.)
3. Cleanse your crystals. This removes any superficial dirt. Also, you must cleanse crystals to purify any residual energy. Clean crystals in a non-metal container with pure water. (See Reference 1.)
4. Charge your crystals. One way to charge crystals is to allow them to sit overnight under the light of a full moon. You can charge crystals in sunlight, but the sun can fade colored crystals and deplete their energy. Some choose to charge crystals with Reiki, another form of energy healing.
5. Unblock your chakras. Begin with your crown chakra. Place a white stone, such as a rock crystal, under your pillow overnight to create a sense of well-being. Lie still with violet amethyst in the center of your forehead to subdue agitation. Place blue azurite on your throat chakra to promote healthy glands. Center your being with pink rose quartz on your heart chakra to ease emotional turmoil. Place yellow amber on your solar plexus to aid digestion. Orange tiger's eye on your sex chakra (just below your navel) can increase energy. Improve fertility with red garnet at the base of your spine.
6. Cleanse your entire body. Pass a white crystal over each of your chakras. Begin by holding your crystal an inch or so in front of your crown chakra. With gentle, smooth movements, pass the stone over each chakra. Pause at each energy center. Breathe in, pause and slowly release your breath. Visualize each chakra energized and chi (energy) released and freely flowing throughout your being.
