Use Foodquality Peppermint Oil

Peppermint oil has been used to cure common ailments for centuries. This oil is considered the oldest medicine in the world, with scientific research proving its benefit in many applications. Relieving indigestion, sinus inflammation, sore throat and fever are a few of the common uses for peppermint oil. When using oils derived from plants, it's important to ensure the oil is food quality or food grade, and safe for internal use.


Instructions


1. Add one drop of food grade peppermint oil to tea and drink it after meals to relieve symptoms of gas and indigestion. Additionally you can add a drop of peppermint oil to honey tea and soothe a sore throat and open up your airways. In folk medicine, peppermint oil is rubbed on the soles of feet to abate a fever.








2. Spritz a solution of peppermint oil and water on workout clothes to refresh and uplift your mood during strenuous exercise. Peppermint oil can also be spritzed on a cool compress to alleviate a headache.








3. Add a few drops of peppermint oil to lotion and massage it into sore muscles. Peppermint is an antispasmodic and will relax muscle cramps.


4. Mix peppermint oil into shampoo and wash your hair to remove dandruff. The shampoo will also cool and refresh your scalp. Peppermint contains menthol which will remove excess oils from the scalp and skin.


5. Stir refreshing peppermint oil into foot bath solutions to wake-up tired feet.
