Tips For Growing Facial Hair

Just like each individual’s head hair grows at different rates, facial hair growth rates vary from person to person. Whereas one man may be able to grow a full beard in three days, it may take another several months. Some men may experience denser hair growth on a particular area of their faces and sparse growth on other areas. Whether you’re interested in growing a mustache, beard or goatee, there are many things you can do to encourage the growth process.

Instructions

1. Begin growing your facial hair in the winter. Since you won't be sweating like you do in the summer, the early stubble stages won't be as itchy and irritating to your skin.

2. Use a facial scrub, which will exfoliate your skin and prevent ingrown hairs.

3. Cease shaving altogether for two to three weeks. This will give you a good base of facial hair before you begin to shape it.

4. Visit a professional barber who can shape and trim your facial hair. After you have it solidly shaped, you can then touch it up yourself.

5. Trim the edges of your beard, goatee or mustache. You can use hair trimming scissors or a beard trimmer.

6. Wash your facial hair with a gentle shampoo and moisturize it with hair conditioner. Your facial hair will grow more quickly when it is healthy.

7. Eat a healthy diet, rich in nutrients. Protein is essential in order to growth facial hair.
