2. Monitor your cervical mucus. The consistency of your cervical mucus can also tell you when you are most fertile. This should be done every time you go to the bathroom, especailly after a bowel movement. You are usually at peak fertility when your mucus become very stretchy and resembles eggwhites.








3. Lose or gain weight as needed. Women who are very underweight or overweight have been found found to have a much more difficult time becoming pregnant.


4. Take a multi-vitamin, as well as the herb chasteberry. It is recommended that women who are trying to conceive should take a supplement that includes folic acid, B6, and B12. Prenatal vitamins often have an appropriate balance of vitamins and minerals for women trying to get pregnant. Chasteberry is a natural herb that has been found to have many benefits for women, including helping them to ovulate regularly. Although dosage may vary according to each individual needs, women generally take this herb every day until they think they have ovulated. If pregnancy is achieved, discontinue use. If pregnancy is not achieved, begin taking the herb when a new cycle begins. It should be noted that chasteberry may have to be taken for many months to become effective.


5. Adjust your diet. The best foods to eat are vegetables, whole grains, and fruits. Meat can be eaten as well, but should be taken in moderation. Some studies have suggested that dairy products, citrus fruits, pineapple, and yams can increase a womans fertility. Foods and substances that should be eliminated include caffiene, alcohol, refined carbohydrates, sugar, and trans-fatty acids.


6. Make love with the man on top. While any position can acheive pregnancy, it is commonly believed that making love with the man on top is the most effective way for the sperm to reach the egg.
