Prevent Bleeding Hemorrhoids

Bleeding hemorrhoids can be a great source of discomfort and embarrassment for those who suffer from them. The amount of blood associated with bleeding hemorrhoids can be frightening as well. Proper care and treatment should help prevent outbreaks.

Instructions

Prevent Bleeding Hemorrhoids

1. Consult with your physician before trying any treatment for your bleeding hemorrhoids. Inform them of the treatment you are about to begin to make sure it is appropriate for you.

2. Purchase Preparation H ointment and unscented cleansing bathroom wipes. These are available at most drug and grocery stores.

3. Gently cleanse the affected area with the wipes. Dry the affected area. Apply the Preparation H ointment by following the directions on the package. This should help shrink your hemorrhoids and alleviate your discomfort. Continue to follow the dosing instructions on the package (with doctor approval) until your hemorrhoids are gone.

4. Increase the amount of fiber in your diet and make sure you are drinking at least eight glasses of water each day. This should help soften your bowel movements and decrease your straining in the bathroom.
