Herbs For Kidney Deficiency

When using herbs to treat a kidney deficiency, people often refer to Chinese medicine, where yin and yang are representative of energy and functions in the body, as well as the physical substance of the body. In Chinese medicine the kidneys are viewed as the origin of life. They are considered the center of a person's yin and yang.

Herbs for Kidney Yin Deficiency

Symptoms of kidney yin deficiency include weakness and soreness of the lower back, sweating, constipation, dizziness, and ringing in the ears. Some of the herbs used to restore kidney yin deficiency are marshmallow root, rehmannia root, asparagus root, aloe vera gel and colloidal silver.

Fo-Ti root is also good for kidney yin deficiency. It helps with weakness, soreness, pain and fatigue.

Herbs for Kidney Yang Deficiency

A person who is kidney yang deficient will feel cold, look pale, may have difficulty urinating, or experience incontinence or a declining libido. Herbs that help with kidney yang deficiency are rose hips, oyster shell, clam shell, schizandra berry, raspberry and blackberry leaves, and gravel root. Eleuthero or Siberian ginseng is also good for kidney yang deficiency and can help with lower back pain.
