Do you want to lose weight but do not know where to begin? Here are some suggestions to taking some of those pounds off.

1. Adopt a healthier lifestyle.


Look at the different areas of your life where you can make changes to help you lose weight.


Are you snacking too much? Do you follow and fulfil every craving for sweets? Are you eating too much bread? Do you not exercise? Look at the foods you have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make changes gradually.


2. Diet pills or fad diets hardly never work- you need to modify your life style and your eating habits.


3. Eat Breakfast- it sets the metabolism for the rest of the day and burns calories.


If you eat lunch, and did not have breakfast, then lunch becomes fat because the metabolism should have been set at breakfast.


4. Have a salad for lunch and dinner.


Think of vegetables you like that would make a great salad. Be creative, in taking time to prepare salads so you can enjoy them.


You can Start off with romaine lettuce, add grated carrots, sliced red onions, some grapes, chickpeas (drained and washed) topped with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing.


Another salad would be to add sweet bell peppers sliced in strips, romaine lettuce, sliced radishes, sliced tomatoes, olives, topped with red wine vinegar and olive oil.


Have a salad with spinach, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, topped with sunflower seeds, feta cheese, boiled eggs, and avocado.


Slice up cucumbers and tomatoes with red onions, add some lemon juice, salt and black pepper.


5. Evaluate when you have many cravings for sweets and snacks - is it when watching television, in the kitchen, around coworkers, a television commercial, etc.


Develop a plan to deal with cravings, you can drink a glass of water or take a walk, take a yogurt, celery or carrot sticks, a fruit, almonds, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds.


You can eat snacks moderately.








6. Have an exercise plan- take a brisk walk before breakfast, use the stairs instead of the elevator, or join a gym.


7. Don't be too hard on yourself if you make a wrong food choice. Love and encourage yourself.
