Cures For Cellulite

Unfortunately, most women get cellulite around their hips, thighs and buttocks, especially when hormonal fluctuations of estrogen occur-during puberty, pregnancy and menopause. Taking birth control pills can also have an impact on the hormones. Hormones are responsible for the regulation of fat and connective tissue in a woman’s body, including cellulite. Luckily there are steps you can take to reduce cellulite. Before you opt for expensive liposuction, try these methods.

Bladder Wrack

Bladder wrack is a form of seaweed that comes from the North American coasts and Europe's Atlantic shores. Because bladder wrack is rich in iodine, which is important for proper thyroid glandular function and low-metabolism obesity conditions, it is a great natural product to use for eliminating fatty deposits of cellulite beneath the subcutaneous layer of skin. It is often used in health spas around the world for slimming treatments as a seaweed body wrap. Applied topically to the area where cellulite is most prevalent, it has the effect of gradually erasing the cellulite after several treatments. Most health-food stores carry bladder wrack in powder form. Just add water, mix and apply the mud to the area. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rise off.

Diet

Although no diet can totally omit cellulite, you can lower the amount of fat you have in your body and this will reduce the appearance of your cellulite. Taking steps to improve your health and reduce the amount of fat stored in your body is one of the best decisions you could make. Getting rid of excess toxins will also improve the appearance of your skin, thus decreasing the appearance of cellulite. Fresh organic fruits and vegetables, which contain fiber and phytochemicals, help the body eliminate toxins. They also contain antioxidants that combat free radicals, such as alcohol and smoke. Blueberries, oranges, spinach and carrots are some of the foods that help remove toxins and are beneficial for reducing the amount of fat stored in the body. Choosing foods such as nuts and fish that are rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which regulate the body’s fat metabolism, will also help reduce stored fat. You should avoid alcohol, which dehydrates the body; foods that have been processed, refined or that have artificial additives; and over-consumption of animal protein.

Exercise

Getting exercise is vital to maintaining health, as well as extremely beneficial for reducing cellulite. Just by exercising 30 minutes a day, you could make a difference.

Start with 15 minutes of aerobic exercise, such as walking on the treadmill. Don’t forget to add a two-minute warm-up and two-minute cool down to prevent injury. Next, do 15 minutes of strength training targeted at the area where cellulite is prevalent. For example, try leg lifts for thighs or lunges for buttocks. Do 10 repetitions of these. Then stretch out the muscles and hold for 20 counts and repeat on the other side.
