Kill Nail Fungi With Lemongrass Oil

Using natural solutions to common medical problems has become more popular in recent years. Thousands of people have discovered the healing powers of essential oils. One of these wonderful healing oils is lemongrass oil. Lemongrass is a natural antiseptic, killing bacteria and helping to fight off fungus and infection. Like most medications, however, lemongrass cannot work alone. Mixed with the proper oils, lemongrass can kill fungus on nails.

Instructions

1. Purchase lemongrass oil and a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or grapeseed oil, from a health food store. The carrier oil will limit the harshness of the lemongrass oil; choose an oil based on your fragrance preferences.

2. Mix one ounce of the carrier oil with 12 drops of the lemongrass oil.

3. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the oil to make sure no dirt or other products interfere with the oil.

4. Apply the oil mixture to the infected nails twice per day until the infection is gone; you can continue to apply after that point for prevention of fungus growth.
