1. Gather supplies. Once you have contacts and saline solution, find a comfortable place to put in your contacts. You could use a mirror and sit on your sofa or bed to put in your lenses with your acrylic nails. Another option would be to stand in front of the bathroom mirror to put in the lenses. Just make sure that when you are ready to put you lenses in that you are calm and patient.
2. Wash hands. You need to always make sure that your hands are clean. To properly clean your hands for putting in your contact lenses, you must wash with warm water and soap for 30 seconds. Be sure to rub hands together for 30 seconds then rinse under the water. Also make sure that you clean under your acrylic nails. Sometimes, dirt and food hide under the nails. Sing the whole alphabet song and by the time you are finished singing it will be time to rinse with water.
3. Dry your hands with a paper towel or a clean cotton wash cloth. Open the box to your contacts.
