Make A Carrot Poultice

A carrot poultice is used to treat illnesses and infections.

A carrot poultice works as an alternative healing therapy for sore throats. It can also be used to draw toxins from the lymph glands by stimulating the lymph system. The poultice helps cleanse the blood in the body by helping new white blood cells form, which in turn kill harmful viruses and bacteria in the blood that cause infections. With serious throat infections, healing herbs are mixed into the poultice to help soothe and treat the infection more aggressively.

Instructions

1. Wash two or three carrots and peel them, if you prefer.

2. Place the grater onto a glass cutting board and grate the carrots into a poultice. Do not use wooden or plastic cutting boards because the orange carrot juice will stain them. You can also process the carrots in a food processor.

3. Place the carrot poultice into the bowl and add 10 drops of goldenseal tincture and 15 drops of echinacea tincture. Mix gently.

4. Place the poultice into the center of the cheese cloth and fold the ends of the cloth in towards the center as if you were folding a letter to fit in an envolpe. Then take the ends and fold them under to create a square compress to place on the neck area.
