Put In Contacts With Acrylic Nails

A lot of women love acrylic nails. The realistic looking nail enhancers can be long, short, square or oval. Adornments such as designs, small nail diamonds and air brush paint can also create a unique look. However, there is one drawback to wearing acrylic nails. Wearing acrylics may make it difficult to put in your contacts. Don't fret. The following steps will help you to learn put in contacts with acrylic nails.

1. Gather supplies. Once you have contacts and saline solution, find a comfortable place to put in your contacts. You could use a mirror and sit on your sofa or bed to put in your lenses with your acrylic nails. Another option would be to stand in front of the bathroom mirror to put in the lenses. Just make sure that when you are ready to put you lenses in that you are calm and patient.


2. Wash hands. You need to always make sure that your hands are clean. To properly clean your hands for putting in your contact lenses, you must wash with warm water and soap for 30 seconds. Be sure to rub hands together for 30 seconds then rinse under the water. Also make sure that you clean under your acrylic nails. Sometimes, dirt and food hide under the nails. Sing the whole alphabet song and by the time you are finished singing it will be time to rinse with water.


3. Dry your hands with a paper towel or a clean cotton wash cloth. Open the box to your contacts. Distinguish between the right and the left lens. o help, put the right lens on the right side of the sink if in the bathroom, and the left lens on the right side of sink. This will help you remember which lens goes into which eye.


4. Pick up the right contact. Now, depending on the length of your nails you can actually use your acrylic nail to your advantage. If you have long nails use the nail of your index finger to pick up the lens. Use your dominate hand to put both lenses in your eyes.Take your non-dominate hand and slightly take your index finger and thumb to pull the eye lid open. Place the contact directly on the eye. At first, it doesn’t have to be directly on the pupil. Believe it or not, it will shift itself to the pupil of the eye. Repeat with the second lens until finished. If they are put in on the correct side, you shouldn’t feel them in your eyes. If you feel your contacts, they may be on the wrong side. To rectify this, you simplify need to switch them. Do this by taking your clean finger and sliding the lenses off the eyeball to the right until you can grab with index finger and thumb. With contacts your doctor will give you helpful information on cleaning and care for them. Maintain the method of cleaning given to you by your doctor. Enjoy leaving your glasses at home.
