Make A Chart For Calories Burned

When you're dieting and exercising to lose weight, you'll want all the motivation you can get to stay on track. One method you can use to follow your progress involves making a calories burned chart. You don't have to spend a lot of time creating the chart and can use it to help you reach your weight loss goal.

Instructions

1. Choose a journal to keep your calories burned chart in. To better separate entries, you'll probably want a weight loss journal with lined paper.

2. Print out an online chart to help you record your numbers. You can find the number of calories burned during different activities online. Use the chart on Positive Health Steps to find out how much you burn while walking, running, playing sports and other activities.

3. Separate the calories burned chart into different physical activities. Set up a row for activity name, time performed and number of calories burned during that time frame. Use your reference chart to calculate the number of calories you burned.

4. Input your calories consumed. To compare calories burned to calorie consumed, track the number of calories in the food you eat on your calories burned chart.
