Eat Pancakes

Pancakes are a popular dish renowned the world over. Different preparation methods allow you to enjoy either sweet or savory versions of the pancake. Pancakes can also be high in calories. Use these tips to get the most enjoyment as you eat pancakes.

Instructions

1. Arrange a piping-hot short stack of pancakes on a plate. Using a knife and fork, cut pancakes into eighths. Use your fork to pick up each section of pancake as you eat.

2. Spread butter on your pancakes. Dollop butter on the top of the stack of pancakes or spread a small amount of butter over every cake.

3. Pick a syrup. The most popular pancake topping is maple syrup. Honey, molasses, fruit preserves and lemon and sugar are also popular sweet pancake toppings.

4. Try a fruit topping. Cut up strawberries, bananas, peaches and blueberries are all great ways of adding nutrients to your pancakes. Top with fresh whipped cream for a creamy taste.

5. Consider a light topping. Save calories by choosing yogurt instead of whipped cream or a squeeze of citrus for flavor.

6. Turn into a dessert. Though associated with breakfast you can eat pancakes at any meal and even as a dessert. Top with vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips or caramel syrup.

7. Make a pancake sandwich. For a savory dish take two pancakes and place your choice of cheese, bacon, lunch meats or sausage between.
