Signs That One May Be A Stroke Victim

You should call 911 immediately when you suspect someone is having a stroke, even if their symptoms seem to have disappeared. A stroke presents itself differently in different people. Some people display minor symptoms, but otherwise feel OK, whereas others can collapse, or lose consciousness.

Vision

Your vision might become blurred, distorted or otherwise impaired in both of your eyes, or in one eye.

Headache

Stroke victims have complained of sudden, intense headaches prior to the onset of the attack.

Numbness

Your face may go numb, or your limbs. This often happens on just one side of the body, and is accompanied by an inability to move.

Speech

The person's speech can become slurred, or otherwise difficult to understand.

Weakness

Like the feeling of numbness, the patient can become weak on one side of the body.

Comprehension

A person may be disoriented, forget simple facts like their name, or might not understand things that are being said to them.
