Instructions
1. Notice the first signs and symptoms of a cold sore, which usually include tingling of the lip, itching of lip, burning of the lip, fever or sore throat.
2. Wash your hands thoroughly before taking any medications or applying any medications to the affected area. Dirty hands will make the cold sore infection worse.
3. Take two Lysine pills at the first sign of tingling, itching or burning. Lysine is a substance that is not made by the body, it is obtained through diet. It's function is to promote healthy skin and lips.
4. Apply Abreva cream to the affected area as often as necessary throughout the day. On the second day, again take two Lysine pills and apply the abreva to the affected area. By this day the blisters that usually form will not come to a full bud.
