Eleotin Tea Ingredients


Eleotin tea is a drink made from a health food formulated by scientists at a diabetes research center at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Eleotin was originally created to help cure and prevent both type I and type II diabetes. The tea helps control glucose levels in the blood, and is supposed to break a person's dependence on insulin shots and medications with harmful side effects. It is made of various roots, stems and fruits from all over Europe and Asia.


Roots


Several of the ingredients in eleotin tea are roots of various sorts. Astragalus membranaceus bunge, commonly called milk vetch, is a perennial herb grown most often in the mountains of Korea. Platycodi radix and glycyrrhizae radix, or licorice root, are used to relieve coughs and sore throats, as well as sweeten the tea. Dioscorea japonica, a kind of yam native to Japan is used as well.


Stems


Capsella bursa, known as shepherd's purse, is a member of the mustard family. It is native to Eastern Europe and Asia minor, and also grows abundantly in Britain. It bears small white flowers year-round. This plant is used for medicinal purposes, such as stopping hemorrhages and soothing intestinal irritations. Shepherd's purse stem is used in eleotin tea.








Fruits


Lycium Chinese is more commonly known as the Chinese wolfberry, goji berry and many other names. This particular berry is in the same family as tomatoes and eggplants. The wolfberry is native to Asia and southeastern Europe, and is exported commercially in large quantities from China. The berry has possible benefits against inflammation and cardiovascular disease. Schizandrae fructus is also a Chinese herb that has been widely used in ancient China for its medicinal purposes. The seeds of the berries, when dried and crushed, can be made into a powder that is used for many conditions including coughs, asthma and other respiratory symptoms.
