Make A Flax Seed Neck Pillow

Making your own flax seed filled neck pillow is generally cheaper than buying one at your favorite department store. These flax seed filled neck pillows are ideal for people who sleep on their side or back.

Instructions

1. Lay the material out on a flat surface, fold it in half lengthwise, and pin the wrong sides together to create your pillow. This pillow will be double lined, as all filled pillows are, to be assured that the filling of flax seeds does not spill out. You will need to leave an open area on your pillow to stuff it, and this usually is on one end in the pillow.

2. Sew the long side just to the left of your designated open end, and continue around the pillow making a ½-inch seam until you come to the designated end. Remove the pins from the material, and turn the fabric right side out through the open end.

3. Place the flax seed filling into this hole until the pillow is full. Shake the pillow as needed to distribute the flax seed filling within the pillow. Slip stitch the opening closed and your flax seed neck pillow is complete.

4. Put your flax seed neck pillow in a pillowcase or slip case to extend the life of your newly created pillow. This type of pillow should always have a pillowcase because the bag is not washable.
