Properly Dispose Of 6 Pack Rings

Landfills are frequented by thousands of varieties of birds and wild creatures. One of the hazards they encounter while foraging through garbage is 6 pack rings. Animals get their beaks and feet hopelessly stuck in the holes, and most are not able to live for long afterwards. You make an ecologically friendly impact when you properly dispose of 6 pack rings.

Instructions

Properly Dispose of 6 Pack Rings

1. Break the holes.Snap or cut open all of the larger holes.

2. Pull the zip stripsTear open any zip strips completely. Some six or eight pack carriers have perforated outer strips for releasing the drink containers.

3. Cut the small holesUse scissors to cut across all of the small holes in the plastic rack. Divide the sections forming small holes until all that’s left is open half–circles.

4. Cut into small stripsCut the hole–free remains into 3 or 4 inch strips. You can safely drop these strips into your trash, knowing they pose no threat to wildlife.
