Bang's disease is a relatively rare though extremely dangerous condition caused by an infection that is passed to humans through infected animals such as pigs, cows, goats and sheep. 2. Watch for signs of increasing and chronic fatigue that may be accompanied by muscle and joint aches. If signs do not resolve within two days, schedule a visit with your health care provider to rule out a diagnosis of flu or colds.
3. Weigh yourself. Have you suddenly lost weight or do you continually suffer from an upset stomach? These are also classic signs of Bang's Disease and should be taken seriously.
4. Be alert for any signs of tenderness or sensitivity along the spine. This one sign is quite different than those experienced by individuals suffering from common flu and colds.
5. Do you find yourself suffering from increased bouts of headaches or confusion? If so, you may be entering the later stages of Bang's Disease. This stage presents increased mental problems and may even develop into seizures.
