Wei Brian came to the United States from China in the hopes of studying to become an engineer. A change of plan and a change of heart lead her to pursue her passion of herbs and Chinese medicine a little further. She has since founded the Wei East line of beauty products whose motto is "nature meets beauty." Her line of skin-care products extends to eye treatments.
Eye Treatment Pads
According to the Wei East website, the company offers intensive herbal eye treatment pads that are advertised to reduce puffiness around your eyes. Packs of 16 pads sell for $36 and contain Tibetan chrysanthemum and raspberry leaves, which are said to erase dark circles. They also contain peppermint, which refreshes your skin.
To use these pads, make sure you are lying down in a comfortable spot. In this position, it is easy to place a pad on each eye. Relax and wait 10 minutes while you have the pads on your eyes. Remove the pads and wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
Eye Creams
Wei East has three eye creams in its line of beauty products; two of them sell for $35 a piece. The China Herbal Eyes Alive product is a three-in-one cream advertised to smooth fine lines, lighten dark circles and reduce puffiness. Ingredients in this eye cream consist of mulberry leaf extract, seaweed extract and green tea leaf extract. The Chestnut Refirming Eye Treatment claims to firm and lift sagging skin and contains Chinese chestnut extract and wild honey.
Wei East's Lotus Eye Dreams is sold for $65. The lotus seeds, flowers and roots in the moisturizer are said to treat deep wrinkles and fine lines as well as hydrate dry and stressed skin. The cream has the light and fluffy texture of a soufflé.
With these eye creams, you need only apply a small amount to your fingertip and gently pat the product around your eye area. If you get the product in your eyes, immediately flush with water. You only need to apply the creams once or twice a day, depending on your own skin-care routine.
