Diffuse Essential Oils

There are many benefits to diffusing essential oils in a home or work environment. The process involves dispersing one or more types of essential oils (like lavender or lemon) through the air to fill a room with a soothing or health-boosting aroma. Moreover, essential oil diffusion gives any room a fresh and pleasant scent. Diffusion can be done with regular household items or by using a specially made oil diffuser.

Instructions

1. Choose an essential oil that will create the ambiance you desire. For example, lemon essential oil is zesty and energizing, lavender essential oil is soothing and calming and basil is said to be memory-enhancing.

2. Bring two cups of water to a boil. Transfer the boiling water to a bowl.

3. Add 10 drops of the essential oil of your choice to the bowl. The steam from the hot water will help disperse the aroma of the oils throughout the room.

4. Purchase a diffuser. They come in a variety of forms including clay pot diffusers, electric heat diffusers, nebulizers and candle diffusers. These are specifically made to transport the therapeutic qualities of the oil.
