Use Naturopathy To Treat Circulatory Problems

Naturopathy is a combination of several "natural" therapies. Naturopathic doctors use one or more natural therapy techniques to treat symptoms and diseases. These therapies can include nutrition/diet therapy, acupuncture, healing massage, hydrotherapy, reflexology, and herbal therapy. Doctors that specialize in naturopathy stay away from mainstream health care and prescription drugs. These professionals use alternative forms of treatment and alternative medicines. Their concentration is on the person as a whole of spirit, soul and body. Circulatory problems may be attributed to an underlying block in one of those areas. Using natural ways to heal it can bring peace to your body and soul.

Instructions

Hydrotherapy with Hot and Cold Compresses

1. Improve circulation by alternating hot and cold compresses. Soak a cloth in the hot water. Place the cloth on the affected area for 3 minutes. The cloth should be as hot as the patient can possibly stand it. The hot compress makes the blood flow to the affected region by opening the blood vessels.

2. Apply a cloth soaked in cold ice water. Soak the cloth and wring out any extra water. Place the cloth on the affected area for 30 seconds. The cold compress will make the blood move to other parts of the body by constricting the blood vessels.

3. Alternate the hot and cold compresses 3 times each. This can be done 3 to 4 times per day until healing is reached.

Reflexology

4. Learn about reflexology. It is based on the principle that energy flows throughout the body, and all illness or disease is a result of the block of that energy flow. Improve circulation of the blood and energy streams by using this tool. It is believed that all energy flow has a reflex point in the hands and feet. Stimulation of these points will open up the channels and improve all forms of circulation.

5. Limber up your feet by gently rubbing in some massage oil or lotion. Lightly tug on the toes to give a stretch to them.

6. Apply light pressure to every area of your foot, beginning with the toes. Work your way to your ankles. Always use strokes or motions that go in the direction of the heart to improve circulation. Do the same with your hand, moving your way up to the elbow.

7. Using the same motion of stroking towards the heart, you can apply the above massage technique to your entire body.
