Instructions
1. Assess how you feel. If you have strong hives developing all over your body or have severe difficulty breathing, see your doctor immediately. 2. Note the amount of redness, swelling and itchiness you feel. Apis Mellifica is made from honey bees and is appropriate for most insect, spider bites and bee stings. Normal reactions to the above is characterized by minor discomfort that is reduced with icing, staying of the direct heat and sun and using Apis Mellifica.
3. Use either the alcohol-based tincture or the pellets for this remedy. Avoid drinking liquids half an hour before and after taking any homeopathic remedy. Avoid drinking coffee or consuming or using any mint products, including chewing gum, mouthwash or toothpaste. Caffeine and mint will act as an antidote to any homeopathic remedy.
4. Administer Apis Mellifica cautiously to young children. It is generally safe and non-toxic but use only the smallest dosage advised on the label of the homeopathic remedy. Each remedy is available in different strengths, so dosage will vary.
5. Use the pellet form if you cannot tolerate the alcohol-based tinctures. To date, homeopathic remedies are not available in glycerin form as are herbal tinctures, which are not the same as homeopathic remedies. Herbal tinctures are full-strength, not diluted as homeopathic remedies are. Slip the pellets under your tongue to dissolve without chewing. Do not swallow the pellets whole. Pellets are sweetened with sucrose, so if you are a diabetic, consult with a licensed homeopath or an integrative doctor.
