Identify Symptoms Of Pulmonary Heart Disease

Pulmonary heart disease affects nearly 1 million people a year. Many things can increase your risk for developing pulmonary heart disease such as smoking, obesity or poor sleeping habits. Since Pulmonary heart disease can have symptoms that are similar to other conditions it is important to be able to identify the symptoms as early as possible.

1. Record your resting habits versus your energy level. Fatigue is a common symptom to many different conditions but is usually one of the first indicators that there is something wrong. If you are sleeping 8 hours a night and still feel a lack of energy throughout the day, this may be a sign that you should see a doctor.


2. Check your chest. Chest pain is another common symptom for pulmonary heart disease as well as other conditions. Palpitations is another recognizable sign. Palpitations are a noticeable contracting of the heart. If chest pain is experienced it is recommended that you go to the hospital immediately as this can be a sign of heart attack.








3. Pay attention to your breathing. Dyspnea also known as shortness of breath, can be an early indicator of heart disease. Make sure you note inappropriate times when you are out of breath such as when resting or only walking a few steps.


4. Identify skin irritation and irregularities. Discolored or bloated skin is often a sign of edema or cyanosis which are usually a sign of heart disease. These marks or areas are usually caused by the bodies retention of water or lack of oxygen.








5. Discern dizziness. Fainting and dizzy spells (Syncope) are caused by lack of oxygen to the brain and are a serious indication that medical treatment should be sought.
