Create a network between two computers with the Targus file share cable.
Targus High-Speed File Share Cable is a file- and data-sharing USB cable that can be used with both Windows and Mac computers. It has a plug-and-play feature that automatically downloads the drivers for the cable to your computer. The file-sharing cable transfers files, photos, music and videos onto another computer at up to 480 Mbps per second.
Windows
Plug the Targus High-Speed File Share Cable into a USB port on both computers. If the plug-and-play EasySuite app for the cable does not start automatically, use the provided EasySuite CD-ROM and click Run EasySuite.exe when prompted by the computer. Install EasySuite onto both computers.
Mac
Plug the Targus High-Speed File Share cable into both computers. Insert the EasySuite CD-ROM if the app doesn't install automatically, and when the EasySuite CD-ROM drive appears on the desktop, double-click the EasyMacCopy icon to start the app. Install the EasySuite app on both computers.
Transfer Files
Launch the EasySuite program, then click on the System tab and select Setup. For Windows, select a file or folder in the top area of the EasySuite window by clicking on it and holding down the mouse button as you drag the file name down to the bottom window. For EasyMacCopy, select the file or folder listed at the bottom area of the EasyMacCopy window, and drag and drop it into the top part of the window.
Exit EasyCopy
When you are done transferring files between computers, right-click on Safely Remove Hardware on the Windows taskbar and click Safely Remove Hardware. Click Stop to end the communications between computers with the Targus cable. Select EasySuite USB Device and click OK. Close the window and do the same on the other computer, then unplug the Targus cable. On a Mac, select Quit EasyMacCopy, highlight the EasySuite icon on the desktop and select Eject EasySuite. Do the same on the other computer, then unplug the file-sharing cable.
