Decorate With A Pokemon Theme

Is your child crazy about Pokemon and just can't get enough? If so, why not go all out and decorate your child's room in a Pokemon theme. Or use the same concept to throw your child a Pokemon birthday party. Either way, follow the suggestions below to create a Pokemon-filled room for your own little pocket monster.

Instructions

1. Hang Pokemon posters all around the room.

2. Laminate lots of Pokemon cards. Then run some string through them and hang the cards from the ceiling. String several cards together to make streamers that you can hang from a doorway.

3. Put your child's favorite Pokemon cards in small picture frames, then display them around the room.

4. Buy several small- to medium-sized balls (baseball, softball, inflatable, rubber or Styrofoam). Paint them to resemble Pokeballs. Place them all in a large basket or scatter them about the room. Set some on the small tripods used for displaying baseballs.

5. Make stuffed Pokemon characters by printing out pictures of the characters on colored paper. Color in the pictures if you'd like. Place a dowel rod between two pictures of the same character (facing away from each other). Staple the two pictures together, filling the center with cotton balls before you staple it completely shut. Stick the characters in your yard or in a flower pot.

6. Set Pokemon toys (stuffed toys, figurines, etc.) around the room. Get a variety of different characters or else get all of them in your child's favorite Pokemon character to create a consistent theme.

7. Cut out Pokemon paw prints using construction paper in a variety of Pokemon colors. Attach them to the sidewalk/floor leading up to the door to make it look as though a Pokemon has come to visit. Or place them wherever you wish around the room, even the walls or ceiling, for a fun effect.

8. Place Pokemon helium balloons around the room if you are decorating for a party. Cover the table with a Pokemon tablecloth. As an alternative, buy a white tablecloth and let your child demonstrate their artistic ability by drawing in the Pokemon characters.
