Eurotech dryer troublrshoot

Eurotech dryer troublrshoot

A friend asked me to look at her dryer. She has a Eurotech EDV158 that's maybe a couple of years old. None of us can get it to do anything. It won't start or hum or even turn on the indicator light. Nada. Zip. The power tests good at the 4-wire receptacle. Before I open up the dryer, does anyone have any suggestions beyond checking the cord connections for proper installation and expected power? Might there be an internal breaker, for example? One puzzling thing so far: The ID sticker says 240V 12.5A. The manual says to use a 30A OCPD. The handyman who installed it used a 30A 2P breaker. BUT there's also a sticker on the back of the cabinet that says CONNECT DRYER TO AN INDIVIDUAL 15A MINIMUM CIRCUIT FUSED AT 20A MAXIMUM. So I'm confused about that. And before I fool with changing the circuit, I'd like to know if it's possible to repair/restore the dryer. Have never heard of your dryer. Tried to find out something on internet but not to helpful. I would look for a thermo fuse, Most likely cause of not running. Dryer was working with electrical setup so dough problem is there if you have 240 to dryer. You might find a wiring diagram in dryer usually one there someplace. Thanks. Found the wiring diagram and was tracing to the thermal disconnect when the resident handyman pointed to the melted-looking on/off switch. Successfully removed switch after some minutes, contacted US distributor and ordered replacement. Switch was definitely FUBAR.
