Remove A Grohe Faucet Spray Head

Many Grohe kitchen faucets have a sprayer head attached to the main faucet. This sprayer provides a different type of stream for rinsing vegetables and fruit or cleaning dishes. When the sprayer requires repair, you'll need to remove the sprayer head from the hose. Detaching the sprayer from a Grohe faucet head requires only basic skills and a few common tools. Even if you haven't disassembled faucets before, this project should take only minutes.

Instructions

1. Shut off the water to your faucet by closing the water pipe valves inside the sink cabinet. Twist the valves on the hot and cold pipes completely clockwise to close.

2. Pull the faucet sprayer down and out of the faucet head. If you are unable to pull the sprayer head down, check beneath the sink for obstructions. Remove any object obstructing the hose under the sink.

3. Grasp the connector on the hose and at the base of the sprayer head where it connects to the hose. The connector, which secures the sprayer head to the hose, is the only connection you need to disconnect.

4. Turn and unsnap the connector by hand, then pull the sprayer head free of the hose. If you can't turn the connector by hand, hold the hose with one hand and turn the connector with a wrench.

5. Reattach the sprayer by inserting the hose connection back into the sprayer head connector, then twist the two connections to snap them together.
