Sometimes reminiscing reigns supreme at over-the-hill celebrations. Why not create memory albums as centerpieces at your over-the-hill party, especially when the honoree is older than usual? Guests can bring individually made scrapbook pages they have made ahead of time and add them to scrapbooks that serve as centerpieces on specified tables in the room.
Scrapbook pages might include old photographs, mementos, poems written for the occasion and individual reminiscences.
Retro Candy
Create unique bowl centerpieces by placing an old record or record album over an upturned metal bowl and placing it into a hot oven. Leaving labels still attached, shape the warm records into bowls that, after cooling, serve as holders for retro candy from the era of the honoree.
